 Rita Borst
Rita graduated in 1980 with a B.A. in English and Philosophy. During a rewarding career of 14 years in Corporate Risk Management, she became familiar with Alternative treatment and Integrative Medical Philosophy. While taking a leave from her risk management job to care for terminally ill parents, she realized a need for more accessible prevention
and control of health crises.
After much seeking, many years, and three children, she began to study nutrition, specifically that which is taught in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Macrobiotics, and other traditional healing philosophies. These Disciplines maintain that the health of an individual
is dependent, principally, on nutrition and one's connection to oneself.
Food becomes us, as much, if not more, than anything else we do.
In her practice as a Holistic Health Counselor, Rita works with individuals, groups, and families to enhance their knowledge of food and its direct responsibility for wellness. This empowers them to gain control and significantly improve their health.
She is certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and continues to study Traditional Chinese Medicine.
